FAQ
1. What payment methods are accepted?
Payment for the consultation and any vaccines is due on the same day, at the end of the appointment.
We accept payments by Twint or credit/debit card. Cash payments are not accepted.
In case of late payment, reminder fees may be applied.

2. Is the consultation reimbursed by insurance?
This depends on your insurance. The invoice is issued in your name and is not sent directly to your health insurance provider.
After payment, you will receive a detailed receipt listing the services provided, which you can then submit to your basic or supplementary insurance.

3. Are vaccines reimbursed by insurance?
This varies depending on the type of vaccine and your insurance:
- Vaccines intended solely for travel: not covered by basic insurance, sometimes partially reimbursed by supplementary insurance.
- Vaccines also recommended in Switzerland: often reimbursed by basic insurance.
As with the consultation, you pay for the vaccines on the same day, then you submit the invoice to your insurance.
4. Can I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
Yes, of course.
– If you booked through our website, buttons to cancel or reschedule are available at the bottom of your confirmation email.
– If you made your booking via OneDoc, you can modify or cancel the appointment directly on the platform.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, a fee of CHF 50 will be charged.
5. Do you offer online consultations?
Yes. Teleconsultation is ideal if you're not sure whether you need vaccines.
If vaccines are necessary, a short in-person visit will be scheduled to administer them without requiring an additional consultation.
6. How does an online consultation work?
The teleconsultation takes place via a secure platform. You will receive a link by official email or WhatsApp before the appointment.
We will discuss your itinerary and planned activities, and review risk maps together via screen sharing.
An electronic invoice will then be sent to you by email.
7. Can I come just for a vaccine?
Any vaccination request requires a consultation, even a brief one.
It is essential for:
- To verify the absence of contraindications,
- To assess the appropriate timing for administration,
- To provide the necessary explanations about side effects and precautions to follow.
8. Who performs the consultations?
Consultations are carried out either by a doctor or by a nurse specialized in travel medicine.
The fee is the same for all patients, regardless of who you consult.
9. Can I come with my children?
Yes, we welcome the whole family, including young children and infants.

Aicha Yusuf
Nurse, MPH
Infirmière diplômée de la HESAV (Haute École de Santé Vaud), titulaire d’un Master en Santé Publique avec une spécialisation en Prévention et Promotion de la Santé de l’Université de Lorraine. Elle possède une vaste expérience dans les services de maternité, d’urgences et de soins intensifs. De plus, elle a travaillé comme chef de projet à l’Institut Tropical et de Santé Publique Suisse au Rwanda, où elle a géré un projet complexe de santé numérique communautaire. Son parcours en santé publique, combiné à son expérience clinique, la rend parfaitement apte à conseiller les voyageurs sur les risques sanitaires, les exigences vaccinales et les stratégies de prévention adaptées à leurs destinations.

Ludovico Cobuccio
Dr. Méd., DTMH, CTH
Specialist in Internal Medicine and Infectiology, FMH member. Holder of a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the University of Glasgow and a Certificate in Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine. Former Attending Physician at the Travel Medicine and Vaccination Center of Lausanne (Unisanté), and former senior physician in charge of infectious disease surveillance and epidemic response at the Cantonal Doctor Office, Canton of Vaud. Currently serving as a consultant for staff at Terre des Hommes and Attending Physician in Infectious Diseases at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV).

Annie Hérard
Infirmière, CTH
Infirmière diplômée de l’Université de Montréal et titulaire du Certificate of Travel Health (CTH) de la Société Internationale de Médecine de Voyage (ISTM). Elle possède une vaste expérience acquise en chirurgie, urgences gynécologiques, soins intensifs et auprès des réfugiés avec la Croix-Rouge Suisse. Forte de plus de 16 ans d’expérience en médecine de voyage ainsi qu’en dépistage et prévention des IST et du VIH à Unisanté, Lausanne, elle a accompagné des milliers de voyageurs dans la préparation de leurs déplacements vers des destinations variées. Son expertise approfondie en médecine tropicale et prévention des risques sanitaires lui permet de fournir des conseils adaptés à chaque profil de voyageur.

Marie-Jo Barbalat
Dipl. pharm., FPH, CTH
Pharmacienne titulaire d’un FPH en pharmacie d’officine et Titulaire du Certificate in Travel Health (CTH) de la Société Internationale de Médecine de Voyage (ISTM) ainsi que du FPH en Vaccination et prélèvements sanguins, elle possède une expertise approfondie en médecine de voyage. De 2012 à 2025, elle a effectué des consultations pré-voyages au Centre de vaccinations et médecine des voyages d’Unisanté, accompagnant des centaines de voyageurs dans la préparation de leurs déplacements. Parallèlement à son activité clinique, elle préside l’ONG Pharmaciens Sans Frontières Suisse depuis 2004 et enseigne à l’ISPSO, formant les futurs pharmaciens en vaccination.
